FOR EVERYONE
TIME CARD APPROVAL
Time cards need to be approved today. Please thoroughly review
your hours and approve your time card. Look for any missing
punches, as those will require you to submit a Time and Attendance
form.
FROM THE BUSINESS OFFICE
Please note if you received an email about missing an updated car registration, car insurance (with proof of 100/300 bodily injury coverage) and/or First Aid/CPR. Please submit copies of these documents to operationsadmin@sdplus.org as soon as you are able to. Much appreciation to all staff that have already responded with their updates!
A MESSAGE FROM ANGIE D’AMICO
Hello Team! We are compiling a detailed list of free online educational resources. This list will be put on the SD employee website alongside a list of resource descriptions, with logins and passwords of those online resources. These are all subscription-based. If you use any free online resources that you think should be on this list, please email angela.damico@sdplus.org. Thanks in advance for your contributions! We’ll let you know when the lists (which will be updated regularly) are up on the website!
FOR WILLISTON
BACK DOOR
Please refrain from using the back door. If you should need to go out this door, please reenter through the front door. DO NOT UNLOCK THE BACK DOOR. It has been left unlocked at night on numerous occasions. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
WINDOWS
Strange weather accompanies the fall season. One day may be in
the 50s, and the next may jump into the 70s! If you happen to open
a window in you student’s space (or anywhere in the building),
please be certain to close and lock it at the end of a shift.
FOR MONTPELIER
As the weather has begun to change and get colder please remember
to check at the end of the day and make sure the heat gets turned
back down before you lock up.
Please remember to clean up all materials and projects when you
leave the office each day. We know our space is small and shared
by many so please help us keep it organized and usable to
everyone. In regards to cleaning up please make sure all food is
kept in the fridge or in a closed container and all dishes are
washed each day. We’ve found some evidence of furry little
critters and would like to keep them out of our space.
A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM JENN JOHNSON
We have had so many shout outs from September, and my hope was to read them all at our get-together on Friday night (DON’T FORGET), but in the interest of time, I’m sending some out now to get the ball rolling. We’ll read some on Friday and make sure to have a larger list of them available in the future. Thank you for the work you put into each day here. The support you provide to clients and families is immeasurable! Congratulations for making it a Successful September (I am attempting to rebrand September!)!
- 16’s Team: Shout out to 16’s team for being really flexible and dealing with daily schedule changes within 16’s new school, training new staff while navigating her new school programs, and communicating openly and frequently with their BA! 16 is very lucky to have a team like yours.
- Liam Loughlin: For always being available to answer questions and always supporting his teams. He’s a great PSI and a huge asset to all the staff he works with.
- 126 Team member Danielle: We love our Danielle! She is always game to join in imaginary play with Paw Patrol, Power Rangers, PJ masks, you name it! She also always somehow gets stuck with the diarrhea blow outs and handles them like a champ. Bless her heart!!
-
Team
26:
Thank you for always
remembering to take 26’s device everywhere he goes and
for rocking answering questions!
- Thank you to Angie for jumping into whatever task is given and getting it done!
- Shout out to Susan—On the third day of school, our students were going canoeing at North Beach. This was bound to be an adventure, but Susan and I figured we would give it a shot. We all went out in the canoes and it was really successful…until I looked away for a second! One of my students began to wander into the water, and was not responding to “stop/come back.” I looked at Christine A., and she said, “She’s going for it.” At this point I am thinking to myself, “Alright, I’m going to walk into the lake today. In pants. AWESOME.” Just in time, Susan says, “I’m wearing a skirt, let me do it!” Without hesitation, Susan walked into the lake after my student, who was about 50 yards out! Once Susan caught up to her, she quickly came back to land. She then stood on the beach attempting to elope back into the lake by trying to trick Christine and I by pointing out to the lake and saying, “Hey, look!” She was disappointed, however, that this trickery didn’t work. We got our shoes on and transitioned with the rest of the class up to the school. I am so thankful to work closely with someone who is willing to venture into the lake :)
- Jimmy/Fiona:Jimmy, thank you for being so flexible and jumping back into program with a brand new BA. Fiona, I am grateful for your knowledge of the program and for answering all of my questions as I try and learn as much about 54 as I can. To both of you, I would not be able to run this program with out you and it is wonderful to know that 54 is in good hands and with people who know and care for him! It has been my pleasure working with both of you and getting to know 54 more and more each day!
- Katie: Thank you for being an incredible co-teacher….for always thinking about your clients and staff and for enduring the crazy! You are one of a kind :)
-
- Shout out to the Program Managers (Anthony and Conor) – You guys rock, don’t stop scheduling!
Can’t wait to hear all the other praises our staff sing about each other at the S.S.O.S. Celebration at Spare Time on Friday night! Don’t forget to get your raffle ticket to your supervisor by 4 PM on Friday! You can read about the raffle in the attached flier. Opportunities to win big money abound!
Last but not least, here is your weekly commercial from…

Hello friends!
Cold weather is fast-approaching and snow won’t be far behind (dun dun DUNNNN). Time for warm clothes, hearty food and SNOW TIRES!!
Derek “the tire king” Barrows would like to offer help in finding
affordable shoes for your car (or maybe just some all seasons with
some more meat). Tires are the only part of your car that touch
the road… don’t neglect them!
If you’re interested, you can email me directly (derek.barrows@sdplus.org)
using the subject line I NEED TIRES – John P. Doe.
Please include your car’s tire size and/or year, make and model.
Tire sizes look like this: 225 55 R16. 3 digit number, two digit
number, R two digit number. A budget is helpful, too!
Good snow tires can be found for as low as $150-200. Or, ball out and I’ll find you some bad a** treads that will take you to the arctic circle.
Safe travels out there!
